Screening with bamboo canes

A bamboo roll is the quickest and cheapest way to gain privacy on a terrace or in a garden. It fixes with cable ties to chain-link fencing, a railing or a metal frame, and in an afternoon you have solved a screening job that would take weeks in masonry.

We stock the roll in natural cane, light in tone with a Mediterranean look, and in dark cane, more discreet and with a finish that sits better against contemporary facades. When choosing, look at the density of the roll: the closer the canes, the greater the opacity and wind protection.

Bamboo flooring for indoors and outdoors

Pressed bamboo reaches a hardness above that of many hardwoods, which is why it works as flooring. The indoor boards give an even tone with less grain variation than natural timber. The outdoor boards, thermally treated and in a caramel tone, stand up to the weather much like tropical hardwoods but at a more moderate price.

Decorative canes and accessories

Thick-section canes are used loose as dividers, to clad columns or as a decorative feature. And the bamboo shower mat makes the most of the material's natural resistance to moisture, ideal in a bathroom or by the pool.

Maintenance

Outdoors, untreated bamboo turns silvery grey in the sun. One coat of protective oil a year keeps the original tone and extends the life of the material considerably.
