It is machine-sawn Scots pine, treated with pressure impregnation to resist insect attacks, rot, and weathering.

This type of wood offers excellent working properties, as it is easy to screw, nail, machine, or glue, and offers good sapwood impregnation capacity, making it suitable for the application of protective treatments.
